Media Advisory: Texas A&M System Board of Regents hold special meeting Oct. 10

NOTE TO EDITORS AND NEWS DIRECTORS: The Board of Regents of The Texas A&M University System will hold a special meeting Saturday, Oct. 10 at 8 a.m. in the board meeting room of the Memorial Student Center on the Texas A&M University campus.

The board will convene in open session then recess to executive session in consultation with A&M System attorneys regarding the following:

  • Negotiations for a prospective gift from Bryan Commerce and Development, Inc., an affiliate of the City of Bryan.
  • Lease of property to be acquired by gift from Bryan Commerce and Development Inc. to G-Con, LLC, a Texas Limited Liability Company, or its affiliate.

The board will reconvene in open session to consider the following:

  1. Adoption of a Resolution Authorizing the Issuance of the Board of Regents of The Texas A&M University System Permanent University Fund Bonds.
  2. Adoption of an Amended and Restated Resolution Authorizing the Issuance of the Board of Regents of The Texas A&M University System Revenue Financing System Bonds.
  3. (To be considered in executive session; action to be taken in open session) Authorization to Execute a Ground Lease of A&M System Land to be Acquired by Gift from Bryan Commerce and Development, Inc., an Affiliate of the City of Bryan, to G-Con, LLC, a Texas Limited Liability Company, or its Affiliate.
