Texas A&M University System Board of Regents to Meet April 19

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents will convene at 9 a.m. on Thursday, April 19 at Prairie View A&M University in the Willie A. Tempton Sr. Memorial Student Center, Ballroom A&B at 700 University Drive. The board will immediately recess to executive session.

The Board will reconvene in open session at approximately 1:30 p.m. During the meeting, the Board is scheduled to discuss the construction of the 21st Century Classroom Building Project on the campus of Texas A&M University, construction of the Football Stadium Project at West Texas A&M University and construction of the Health Technologies Building Renovation Project for the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station in College Station.

The board also will consider action on agenda items, including the following:

  • Appointment of a member of the Board of Directors of The University of Texas/Texas A&M Investment Management Company
  • Appointment of members of the University Lands Advisory Board
  • Adoption of a resolution honoring Mr. George K. Hickox Jr. ’80 for his outstanding dedication and service as Trustee of the Texas A&M Foundation
  • Adoption of a resolution recognizing Mr. Stephen F. Shuchart for his service as the 2017-2018 Student Member of the Board of Regents of The Texas A&M University System

Meetings of the Board of Regents of The Texas A&M University System are open to the public except for any posted executive session held in compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act.
