Chancellor Sharp to Speak with Texas Monthly in Austin about Texas A&M’s Contract to Manage Los Alamos National Laboratory


Also, Chancellor To Introduce New Lab Director

What: A conversation with Texas A&M University System Chancellor John Sharp and Carlos Sanchez, the News and Politics editor at Texas Monthly. Chancellor Sharp will talk about how the Texas A&M System secured the $2.5 billion annual contract, which also includes the University of California and Battelle Memorial Institute, to care for the U.S.’s nuclear arsenal.

Chancellor Sharp also will introduce Thom Mason, the incoming director of the Los Alamos Lab. Dr. Mason has not yet discussed Los Alamos publicly.

Reporters will have an opportunity to ask questions.
