Media Advisory: Texas A&M System Regents to Meet Thursday

The Texas A&M University System News Release

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents will convene in the Century Ballroom of the Doug Pitcock ’49 Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center, 177 Joe Routt Boulevard, at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 20. The board will immediately recess to executive session.

The Board will reconvene in open session at approximately 3 p.m. in the ballroom. The Board will consider:

  • Approval of Fiscal Year 2021 Operating Budgets, A&M System
  • Approval of System Capital Plan for FY 2021 – FY 2025, A&M System
  • Approval for construction of the Instructional Laboratory & Innovative Learning Building (ILSQ) Project, Texas A&M University
  • Approval for construction of the Aquatics Center Project, Tarleton State University,
  • Approval for construction of  Phase III of the Amarillo Center Phase, West Texas A&M University
  • Approval for construction of the Ballistic Aero-Optics and Materials Facility Project, Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station
  • Approval for construction of the Innovation Proving Grounds Project at the Bush Combat Development Complex, Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station
  • Adoption of a Resolution Honoring the Memory of The Honorable John C. Otto for His Extraordinary Contributions to The Texas A&M University System and the State of Texas
  • Approval of the Community Report: Progress Update, Reflections and Updates to the Strategic Plan, A&M System

Meetings of the Board of Regents of The Texas A&M University System are open to the public except for any posted executive session held in compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act.
