Media Advisory: Texas A&M System’s Board of Regents Plan Special Telephonic Meeting Because of Pandemic
COLLEGE STATION, Texas — The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents on Thursday will conduct its regular business meeting via a telephonic conference call because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The public and news media may listen to this meeting through Livestream by clicking HERE or by calling 1-855-282-6330, Access Code 923691685.
The Regents will convene at 9 a.m. but immediately recess to executive session. The public portion of the meeting begins at 2 p.m. The public meeting will include a report on the impact and response to the pandemic, including the effect on academics, student life, and finances.
Other agenda items include:
Approval of the construction of the Bush Combat Development Complex, which is set to begin this fall, by adding $79.3 million to the System’s Capital Plan. That is the System’s portion of the $200 million complex at the RELLIS Campus in Bryan.
Approval for construction of a West Campus dining facility at Texas A&M.
Approval for construction of a Railroad Quiet Zone project at Texas A&M.
Authorization for the Texas A&M President to negotiate and execute employment contracts for several football coaches.
Adoption of a resolution recognizing Levi McClenny for his service as the 2019-2020 Student Member of the Board of Regents.
