Media Advisory: Texas A&M University System Board of Regents to Meet February 8
COLLEGE STATION, Texas — The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents will convene at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 8, in the Board Meeting Room in the Board Annex on the Texas A&M University campus, and immediately recess to executive session.
The Board will reconvene in open session in the Memorial Student Center’s Bethancourt Grand Ballroom 2300 D&E at approximately 1:30 p.m. 1:30 p.m. During the public meeting, the Board will hold a hearing regarding the tuition and fee rate structure for academic programs on the RELLIS Campus. They will also review proposed revisions and potentially amend rules relating to campus carry policies at Prairie View A&M University, Texas A&M University-Commerce, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, and Texas A&M University-Central Texas.
Additionally, the board also will consider action on several agenda items, including but not limited to the following:
- Appointment of Vice Chancellor for Agriculture and Life Sciences and Dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences
- Adoption of a Resolution Honoring the Texas A&M University-Commerce Lions Football Team
- Approval of the Project Scope and Budget, Appropriation for Construction Services, and Approval for Construction for the Student Services Building Project at Texas A&M University
- Project Renaming, Approval of the Project Scope and Budget, Appropriation for Construction Services, and Approval for Construction for the RELLIS Academic Complex – Phase I Project
Meetings of the Board of Regents of The Texas A&M University System are open to the public except for any posted executive session held in compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act.
