Texas A&M University System Board of Regents to Meet Jan. 17

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents will convene at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17 at the Board of Regents Annex, Board Meeting Room, and immediately recess to executive session.

The Board will reconvene at 12:30 p.m. at the H.D. Smith Operations Complex at 1595 Nuclear Science Road in College Station, for the open session agenda.

During the public portion of the meeting, the Board is scheduled to discuss construction for the Polo Garage Project at Texas A&M University in College Station, and the Board will hear a report relating to the Los Alamos National Laboratory.

The board also will consider action on agenda items, including the following:

  • The adoption of a resolution to honor President George H. W. Bush,
  • The adoption of a resolution celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Mays Business School,
  • The establishment of the Institute for Precision Nutrition, Responsive Agriculture and Health within Texas A&M ArgiLife Research.
  • Meetings of the Board of Regents of The Texas A&M University System are open to the public except for any posted executive session held in compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act.
