The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents to Meet September 1

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents will convene at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 1, in the Board Meeting Room in the Board Annex on the Texas A&M University campus, and immediately recess to executive session.

The Board will reconvene in open session in the Bethancourt Grand Ballroom 2300 D&E in the Memorial Student Center at approximately 2 p.m. to consider action on agenda items, including the following:

• Approval of Texas A&M System Capital Plan for FY 2017 – FY 2021
• Approval of the RELLIS Campus Infrastructure Project
• Approval for the construction of the Joint Library Facility Module 2 Project at RELLIS Campus
• Authorization to negotiate and execute a ground lease for construction of an Academic and Related Support Services Facility(ies) by Blinn College on the RELLIS Campus
• Approval for construction of the McAllen Multipurpose Academic Building Project
• Authorization to lease from the city of McAllen approximately 100 acres for the Multipurpose Academic Building
• Approval for construction of the Fabrication Center Project, Prairie View A&M University
• Approval for construction of the Academic Building Complex Phase II and Infrastructure Project, Texas A&M University at Galveston
• Approval for construction of the Life Sciences Research and Engineering Building – Phase I Project, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi
• Approval for construction of the Re-Imagine the Libraries, Phase 3 Project at Texas A&M University
• Approval for construction of the Engineering Renovation Phase II Project, West Texas A&M University
• Authorization for the President to negotiate and execute new employment contracts for the Head Women’s Golf Coach, Head Men’s Tennis Coach, Two Assistant Men’s Basketball Coaches, and Head Men’s Baseball Coach, Texas A&M
• Approval of various appointments, including
o President of West Texas A&M University
o Dean of the College of Health Sciences and Human Services, Tarleton State University
o Dean of the College of Education, Texas A&M International University
o Dean of the College of Education, Texas A&M-Central Texas
o Dean of University College, Texas A&M-Commerce
o Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, Texas A&M-Kingsville
o Vice President for Finance and Chief Financial Officer, Texas A&M-Kingsville
o Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost, Texas A&M-San Antonio
o Dean of the College of Education and Liberal Arts, Texas A&M-Texarkana
o Vice President for Student Enrollment, Engagement, and Success, Texas A&M-Texarkana

Meetings of the Board of Regents of The Texas A&M University System are open to the public except for any posted executive session held in compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act.
