The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents officially approved the appointment of Brooks Moore as General Counsel at the August meeting of the Board. Moore’s selection marks the final key addition to Chancellor Glenn Hegar’s leadership team.

The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents today approved the 2026–2030 System Capital Plan, a $6.6 billion roadmap that includes $1.925 billion in new proposed projects over the next five years.

Regents today approved next year’s operating budget of $8.1 billion and announced a two-year freeze on what Texas resident undergraduates pay for academics. Tuition and all academic fees will stay at current levels for 2025–26 and 2026–27.

In response to state law, the Board of Regents undertook a review of faculty senates to evaluate their roles within the System. At this time, we revised System policy to replace these entities with faculty advisory councils.

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Jaquavous Doucette of Fort Worth, a student at Prairie View A&M University, as the next student regent for The Texas A&M University System. His one-year term is effective June 1, 2025, and will expire May 31, 2026.

The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents on Tuesday unanimously elected Robert L. “Bob” Albritton of Fort Worth as chairman and Jay Graham of Houston as vice chairman. Albritton ‘71 was appointed to the Board of Regents in 2015.

Kelley Sullivan Georgiades, a native Galvestonian and rancher, was confirmed by the Senate today to join The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents.

The Texas A&M University System’s Board of Regents on Friday selected Comptroller Glenn Hegar ’93 as the sole finalist to be chancellor of The Texas A&M University System.

The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents has designated 18 faculty members and 13 agency service, extension, or research professionals within the A&M System as Regents Professors and Regents Fellows for their exemplary performance.
